Ravyn Lenae
Ravyn Lenae has dedicated a portion of this year’s end to an exciting tour with Reneé Rapp. In the meantime, she is hard at work honing her vocal skills, recently displaying her talent during a Live Lounge session for BBC Radio 1. In this prestigious venue, artists frequently perform captivating covers, and for her set, Lenae opted to reinterpret Sabrina Carpenter’s hit song, “Please Please Please” (you can check out the video here).
Lenae took a minimalist route, opting for gentle instrumentation that allowed her vocals to shine.
This performance comes on the heels of Dolly Parton’s contribution to the song’s legacy, as she teamed up with Carpenter for a remix earlier this year. Parton commented on the collaboration, saying, “Of course, she can talk a little bad now and then. I told her, I said, now, I don’t cuss. I don’t make fun of Jesus. I don’t talk bad about God, and I don’t say dirty words, on camera, but known to if I get mad enough.”
Make sure to catch the performance here and check out Lenae’s upcoming tour dates in support of Rapp listed below.
