Orlando Bloom is currently focusing on his therapy journey following his separation from Katy Perry.
The 48-year-old actor shared quotes from the renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung on Instagram on Wednesday, July 2. One of the quotes stated, “Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.”

Other phrases from Jung, initially posted on the Instagram account Sapienkind, included: “Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic be alcohol, morphine or idealism”; “People will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid facing their own souls”; “Thinking is difficult, that’s why most people judge”; and, “Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.”

Bloom’s collection of quotes also featured Jung’s insights on the human experience.

The collection concluded with Jung’s assertion that “The healthy man does not torture others — generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers.” Additionally, he stated, “We are not what happened to us, we are what we choose to become.”
This represents the latest motivational message from Bloom in light of his separation from his long-term partner Perry.

Earlier this week, the star of The Lord of the Rings took to Instagram to share a positive Buddhist mantra, writing, “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters the most.”
