Mikaela Straus is currently featured in the latest season of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers, but she’s also gearing up to release a new album as King Princess. She unveiled her album titled Girl Violence and dropped the lead single, “RIP KP,” back in June. Now, she has just released another track, “Cry Cry Cry.”
Regarding the song, Straus shares, “‘Cry Cry Cry’ is about a friendship with a woman that didn’t pan out. Sometimes, two divas create an explosion.”
In her previous remarks about the album, she stated:
“Girl violence is very sneaky. It’s not about physicality; it’s profoundly emotional, spiritual, and eerie. Women can be both incredible and sinister — myself included — and I’m driven by a desire to comprehend all the love, loss, and transformations that arise from my affection for women. Why do we tend to instigate and endure chaos? If you’ve felt even a hint of it, you have a story to share. And these are mine.”
