A few weeks back, Kevin Abstract and Dominic Fike unveiled their collaborative single “Geezer” as an introduction to a larger project titled Blush. At that moment, they hinted that Geezer would also serve as the name of their group, which they officially confirmed today with the launch of their second single, “Doggy.”

While Abstract had originally referred to the track as “Doggystyle” in a teaser tweet regarding its release, it appears they have softened the title’s imagery. This might prove to be a smart decision, as the lively, toe-tapping tune certainly feels less risqué than the initial title implies.

Regarding Blush, the album serves as a follow-up to Kevin’s 2023 release Blanket, positioning the Texas artist more as a curator rather than the central figure. The title also alludes to the collective of artists featured on the project, which includes fellow former Brockhampton member Ameer Vann, rappers Danny Brown and Jpegmafia, Fike, and a group of emerging Houston talents.

Even though Blush is still fresh, having been out for less than two weeks, Abstract has already started reaching out to producers and collaborators for a sequel album on Twitter; you can find more details about that here.
