Jason Kelce shared some touching insights about his bond with his brother and cohost of the “New Heights” podcast, Travis Kelce.
“Travis and I have maintained a close relationship for many years,” Jason, 37, informed reporters at the American Century Championship golf tournament on Saturday, July 12, through Starcade Media. “With the [“New Heights”] podcast, we communicate more than we ever did before.”
The Kelce brothers were accompanied by their father, Ed Kelce, at the annual celebrity golf event in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. During breaks between putts, Jason discussed how starting “New Heights” with Travis, 35, in 2022 has strengthened their connection.
“We cared for each other as kids. Our love for each other remains strong,” he remarked. “Now, it feels more like a friendship, whereas in our youth, my role as the older brother made things a bit different.”

Jason continued, “Now, he’s my best friend in the world. We have weekly conversations, and our families are very close.”
The former Philadelphia Eagles center praised his younger brother for being “an amazing uncle.” (Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce are parents to four daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 3 months.)
“I believe we aim to share the right amount online, showcasing viral moments and such,” he mentioned. “However, we also strive to keep some aspects private. … We’re a family that cherishes one another, enjoys each other’s company, and it’s wonderful to sit down and chat weekly.”
Earlier this week, Jason announced that “New Heights” would soon be going on its regular seasonal break so Travis could focus on the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp.
“We have reached the end of the line,” Jason told listeners. “As you all know, Travis is heading to training camp. When training camp begins, we pause the podcast, as it’s nearly impossible to record while someone is in training camp.”
