Recently, there have been whispers that Deftones are gearing up to unveil a new album this summer, with some insiders claiming they’ve caught wind of it. It turns out the rumors were accurate: Today (July 10), the band revealed their new album titled private music, marking their first release since 2020’s Ohms. They also debuted the single “My Mind Is A Mountain.”

The album was recorded in California and Nashville under the guidance of producer Nick Raskulinecz, who previously collaborated with them on Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan. The release is scheduled for August 22.
